One of such people is Fareed, a civil engineer whose recent tweet is gaining traction for some interesting reasons.

Fareed in his tweet opined that the ’the ugly trend was an abuse to their self-esteem’. He went further to question whether their men were taking care of them or these women were simply not content with what they receive.

He wrote: “Don’t know how I will put it. But this ugly trend of our girls selling food online is really awkward and an abuse to their self-esteem! This self-reliant thing is really getting out of hand! Is it that the men r not providing enough, the girls r not contented or demanding too much?”

Explaining further, he stated that some girls do it to simply join the trend.

Fareed’s post which got almost a thousand likes on the micro-blogging platform, had several Twitter users reacting in a rather interesting manner.

Rather than bash him for what many believe to be a backward way of thinking, online vendors seized the opportunity to advertise their goods and services in the comment section.
