Before the Tennessee Titans took to the practice field to wrap up preparations for their Week 1 matchup with the New York Jets at Nissan Stadium, they took some time to work out a couple of defensive linemen. While neither J.R. Singleton nor Dom Bailey were signed, it continued to show the active approach to building the roster on display all offseason.
Singleton spent the entirety of 2025 with the Seattle Seahawks practice squad after signing as an undrafted rookie free agent. The 6-foot-1, 299-pounder was profiled as an undersized nose tackle coming out of Iowa State, but has yet to take a regular-season snap. The 6-foot-3, 292-pound Bailey was signed by the Houston Texans following the 2026 NFL Draft and had a solid preseason, recording five solo tackles. The undrafted rookie free agent out of Tennessee flashed a combination of power and quickness for an interior defensive lineman, but could not make the jump into the Texans’ stout defensive line rotation. He was waived during the final cutdown period. The Titans will meet the Jets on Sunday afternoon to kick off Nissan Stadium’s farewell tour and the 2026 regular season.
