Dušan Vlahović has verbally accepted Beşiktaş’ contract proposal and is expected to undergo a medical, according to Gianluca Di Marzio. The Serbian striker is available as a free agent following the expiration of his Juventus contract. Beşiktaş does not need to negotiate a transfer fee and can complete the move once the medical, final documents and contract signature are resolved. Vlahović’s departure from Juventus had been expected for several months. The two sides were unable to find a solution over a new contract, and Giorgio Chiellini confirmed that the forward would leave on a free transfer at the end of June. Beşiktaş will be getting a proven goalscorer who has spent most of his senior career in Serie A.
Vlahović joined Fiorentina from Partizan in 2018 and developed into one of the most valuable young strikers in European football. His performances in Florence earned him a major transfer to Juventus in January 2022. Vlahović scored 50 Serie A goals for the Turin club, although injuries and Juventus’ inconsistent attacking performances prevented him from maintaining his best form across every campaign. The 2025/26 season was disrupted by an adductor injury that kept him out for several months. He still provided important moments after returning, including the winning goal in Juventus’ 1-0 victory over Lecce. Vlahović would give Beşiktaş a central striker capable of playing with his back to goal, attacking crosses and finishing quickly inside the penalty area.
At 26, he also has time to rebuild his momentum after a difficult final period in Turin. The move would reunite him with Vincenzo Italiano, who coached Vlahović at Fiorentina during the striker’s most productive period in Italy. That existing relationship may help him settle quickly in Istanbul.
Beşiktaş still needs to complete the formal process before presenting Vlahović as its new player. His verbal approval represents a major step, but the transfer remains unofficial until he passes the medical and signs his contract.
