Serie A side Como were not even playing in a professional division in Italy seven years ago, but now they’ve won their first-ever Champions League match and have the 13th most valuable team in the competition, reports Transfermarkt.
Como beat RB Leipzig 4-1 at the Stadio Sinigaglia on Thursday in the first Champions League match in the club’s history. Como have been among the highest spenders in Serie A in recent years, but what sets them apart from most of their contenders in Italy and Europe is their ability to make new signings within a well-defined technical plan, inspired by their coach and minority shareholder, Cesc Fabregas.
