Napoli are reportedly striving to close a loan deal for Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez with an option to buy.
According to Napoli’s official radio station Radio Kiss Kiss, the Partenopei are hoping to clinch a two-year loan for James.
However, it is warned Madrid President Florentino Perez wants an obligation to buy to be part of any deal.
The 27-year-old has spent the last two seasons on loan at Bayern Munich, winning two Bundesliga titles.
However, he reached a mutual agreement with German giants so that they would not exercise their right to purchase him for €42m.
The 2014 World Cup Golden Boot winner joined Los Blancos straight after that tournament from Monaco for €75m and, in 111 matches for the club, has scored 36 goals and provided 40 assists.
