EU countries struggling with food safety culture controls

The majority of countries are finding implementing food safety culture controls difficult, according to a European Commission survey.  

The report looked at the state of food safety culture controls in EU member states. All countries responded to the questionnaire sent in 2025. Food safety culture requirements were put into European Union legislation in 2021.
