The rumour was true
Square Enix is finally bringing Final Fantasy VIII to PlayStation 4. An enhanced version has been out on PC for years, but this is specifically Final Fantasy VIII Remastered, and it’s coming to Sony’s console later this year. The press release says that we can look forward to “overhauled visuals”. It remains to be seen just how improved these visuals are in full, but going by the trailer, character models have definitely been overhauled.
