Chicago Bulls rookie Caleb Wilson has impressed during the NBA summer league.

Wilson averaged 23.5 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks in his first four games. NBA Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett attended a game to watch Wilson play. Garnett gave Wilson the nickname “Little Ticket,” a nod to his own “The Big Ticket” moniker. Bulls rookie Caleb Wilson has turned heads this summer after being selected No. 4 overall by Chicago in the 2026 NBA Draft. Through four summer league games, Wilson averaged 23.5 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.5 blocks. During Thursday night’s contest against the Los Angeles Lakers, Wilson scored 21 points on 7-for-15 shooting to go along with eight rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 24 minutes.

In attendance was an NBA Hall of Famer and one of the greatest power forwards to play the game, Kevin Garnett. Garnett revealed he was present to see Wilson play in person, as many have compared the former UNC forward to Garnett. For that reason, the 15-time All-Star and 2008 NBA champion gave Wilson a nickname that mirrors his own (The Big Ticket), calling him “Little Ticket.” Although the new nickname is a bit comical, Wilson should take it as a compliment, especially coming from the former 2007-08 NBA Defensive Player of the Year.
