Arsenal head of performance Shad Forsythe is no longer expected to follow Ivan Gazidis to Milan.
According to BBC Sport and Goal.com, Darren Burgess will vacate his role as Arsenal’s director of high performance this summer.
It is claimed the decision to part with Burgess was taken after the Gunners’ defeat to Chelsea in the Europa League Final.
That could consequently open the door to a promotion for Forsythe, who appeared set for a role with the Rossoneri.
The 46-year-old American previously worked with the German national team and was part of their coaching set-up when they won the 2014 World Cup.
