Amazon Fire TV Stick remotes beat common smart TV clickers with the added convenience they offer. The newest model, the Alexa Voice Remote Pro, comes equipped, as the name suggests, with Amazon Alexa for quick, hands-free control, plus other handy features like motion-activated backlit buttons, a Bluetooth headphone-pairing button, and mappable buttons for TV shortcuts. Another pivotal function it has is one TV users have been begging for since the remote control was invented.
The Alexa Voice Remote Pro also includes another clever Alexa feature some users may consider life-saving: a remote locator. If your remote ever falls into the dark abyss of a couch crevice or gets lost in an unruly jungle of blankets, all you have to do is ask another Amazon Alexa device, “Alexa, find my remote,” and it will ping your controller. You no longer have to resort to your Fire TV app to control your device, since you can now locate your remote and return to streaming with ease.
To access this feature, first sync the Voice Remote Pro to your Fire TV or Echo Show, and make sure both are connected to the same Amazon account. So long as the remote is within 30 feet of your device, you should be able to easily find your channel-changer.

Amazon Fire TV Stick users hoping to wave goodbye to days of searching for lost TV remotes will be delighted to know the Alexa Voice Remote Pro is more affordable than ever. The control is set at a retail price of $34.99 and, as of September 2026, is being sold for a discounted rate of $19.99. The lowered price comes before any future Prime Day or Black Friday deals that may be offered.
Along with the Voice Remote Pro, Amazon is rolling out November 2026 software updates that introduce new features like enhanced Alexa+ functionality to Fire TV and the Fire TV app, which considers household subscriptions, viewing history, and other specific factors when making content recommendations, rather than relying solely on keywords. The AI-focused service will also have its own hub available on the Fire TV main menu for easy access to start or open conversations and receive suggestions. Alexa+ is initially offered as a free service, but those hoping to reap its fullest benefits, including access to all compatible devices and unlimited daily use, must purchase one of its subscription tiers: Prime (which is free to all Amazon Prime members) or Standard (which has all the benefits of Prime, save for endless photo and 5 GB video memory).
