Jaylen Addai, a 5-star 2028 wide receiver out of Shadow Creek High School in Pearland, Texas, is one of the most sought-over prospects in the country with Notre Dame firmly in the mix
According to 247Sports, Addai – a top-three receiver in his class – has 44 Division I offers. He confirmed on Friday that he will visit five of those schools between this month and November, with South Bend being his last stop. Addai, the son of former LSU and Indianapolis Colts running back Joseph Addai, is planning to visit the Irish during their home game against Miami on Nov. 7.
The matchup between the Irish and Hurricanes is anticipated to be a top-10 showdown. The younger Addai had 37 catches, 1,159 all-purpose yards and 16 touchdowns for Shadow Creek in 2025. In the Sharks’ 24-14 win over Summer Creek last Friday, Addai had six catches for 112 yards.
