The Alaska high school flag football season is underway, with most teams having played five or more games. South Anchorage, Colony, and Dimond remain undefeated and top the early season rankings. Many of the top-ranked teams are scheduled to play each other later in the season. Alaska has wasted no time getting out on the flag football field for the 2026 season.
With most teams already having played five or more games, the early-season picture is already starting to take shape. South Anchorage has been untouchable, allowing zero points through its first five games and quickly establishing itself as the team to beat, while Colony has piled up seven convincing wins of its own, including four shutouts. But no team can get too comfortable, as nearly every team in the rankings is set to face one another at some point in the season.
