PHILADELPHIA – Jalin Turner needed next to no time to get the job done at UFC 330. In the featured main card bout Saturday at Xfinity Mobile Arena, Turner (16-9 MMA, 9-6 UFC) finished the typically durable Kaue Fernandes in a mere 39 seconds.
The finish came shortly after Fernandes (11-3 MMA, 3-2 UFC) attempted a spinning backfist. The strike missed, and Turner connected with a left hand that floored the Brazilian. From there, Turner pounced and rained down massive ground-and-pound shots, dribbling Fernandes’ head off the canvas like a basketball.
With the win, Turner strings together a two-fight winning streak, having knocked out Edson Barboza in December. Fernandes’s three-fight winning streak has been snapped after defeating Mohammad Yahya, Guram Kutateladze, and Harry Harwick consecutively. Up-to-the-minute UFC 330 results include: Jalin Turner def.
