Breaking: Swansea City have completed the signing of left-back Jake Bidwell on a free transfer after his contract with fellow Championship side QPR expired.
Bidwell becomes new head coach Steve Cooper’s first signing of the summer and will link-up with the rest of the squad for their pre-season tour of Spain tomorrow.
The Sun reports that Crystal Palace are interested in Arsenal full-back Carl Jenkinson as a replacement for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Jenkinson is available for £5m after being deemed surplus to requirements, despite the long-term injury to Héctor Bellerín and Stephan Lichtsteiner’s departure.
Premier League champions Manchester City are set to make their first summer signing after Sporting Lisbon youngster Félix Correia flew to England ahead of a £3.1m move, according to the Times.
The 18-year-old is set to sign a five-year deal and will be sent out on loan for the 2019/20 season.
The Times has also noted that City are hopeful of completing a deal to bring Atlético Madrid midfielder Rodri to the club before they fly to China as part of their pre-season preparations next week.
Premier League new boys Sheffield United are set to complete the signing of Luke Freeman from QPR in a £3m deal.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Blades boss Chris Wilder said: “The club is pretty close to completing the deal for Luke. We’re close to getting that over the line and hopefully Luke will become a Sheffield United player later today.”
Wilder is also offering a potential Premier League return for former Manchester United and West Ham player Ravel Morrison. The 26-year-old was most recently playing in Sweden with Östersund and will join Sheffield United on their pre-season trip to Portugal.
According to Spanish paper Sport, Barcelona have also rejected a €70m offer from Bayern Munich for Ousmane Dembélé as the Bavarian giants continue to look for replacements for Franck Ribéry and Arjen Robben.
The Catalan club would not be interested in selling the 22-year-old for anything less than €95m, which would still represent a loss on the bonus-laden €140m they paid Borussia Dortmund for the Frenchman in 2017.
Neymar’s reported return to Barcelona is seemingly edging closer with reports from Brazil claiming that the 27-year-old’s representative are set to meet Barcelona officials in an attempt to broker a deal.
