On Sunday, the 10th Annual Kirk Gibson Foundation Golf Classic took place in Rochester Hills. The foundation funds programs to benefit those living with Parkinson’s Disease and their families. Tom Izzo took part along with a large group of local celebrities to support Gibson.
While at the event, Izzo talked with Brad Galli of WXYZ. He discussed what it means to support Gibson and the event and his early thoughts on the players on this year’s Spartans men’s basketball roster. “That’s the beauty of Kirk, he’s such a competitor. But it’s not on the field — it’s attacking Parkinson’s,” Izzo said. “It’s not a chore to be here, it’s an honor to be here.”
