The week was busy for tech lovers with new offerings in phones, smart TVs and earbuds. Xiaomi introduced the Redmi Note 17 in India, while Vivo returned to the country’s S Series with the new Vivo S2. POCO also launched the M8 Power, while OPPO introduced its first 10,000mAh smartphone in China.
In the audio segment, CMF by Nothing unveiled the Clip Pro earbuds with an open-ear design. Here’s a look at the key tech launches from this week. Vivo S2
Vivo has launched the Vivo S2 in India, bringing the company’s S Series back to the country. The phone features a 6.83-inch 1.5K 3D curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support and up to 3,000 nits peak brightness. It packs a 7,050mAh battery and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo processor.
The phone also supports 4K video recording through both its front and rear cameras. The Vivo S2 is priced at ₹39,999 for 8GB + 128GB and ₹44,999 for 8GB + 256GB.

The Redmi Note 17 is Xiaomi’s latest phone for India. The Redmi Note 17 focuses on a large battery and an improved display.
The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is priced at ₹27,999, while the 8GB RAM and 128GB model costs ₹30,999. The smartphone will go on sale from August 12 and will be available in Arctic Blue, Dark Night and Starlight Purple. POCO M8 Power

The week also saw the launch of the Clip Pro wireless earbuds by CMF by Nothing. The open-ear design allows users to listen to music while remaining aware of sounds around them.
