If your phone isn’t working, it’s not just you: T-Mobile is down. The outage appears relatively recent: According to Downdetector, the first reports trickled in at 3:53 p.m. ET, and have since exploded. As of this article, over 60,000 users have reported issues with T-Mobile.

Over on r/tmobile, hundreds of Redditors are confirming issues with the service. The posts allegedly come from multiple states, including Utah, Arizona, Missouri, Michigan, and Illinois, indicating a potential nationwide outage. T-Mobile has not made a public comment about the outage so far, but its Help account on X is responding to user complaints with boilerplate responses.

T-Mobile isn’t the only carrier to experience a notable outage this year. Back in January, Verizon was hit with a major nationwide outage. The company claimed the outage did not stem from a cyberattack, rather a software issue. We don’t know why T-Mobile is down at the moment, but, in all likelihood, the company will update the public sooner than later, if not fix the issue altogether.
