With the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Cleveland Browns facing off in Week 1 of the 2026 NFL season, it is as good a time as any to revisit the 2025 draft day trade revolving around Travis Hunter. In that deal, the Jaguars traded the fifth overall pick in the 2025 draft, along with picks 36, 126, and their 2026 first-round pick, which ended up being 24th overall, to Cleveland. The Browns, meanwhile, would give Jacksonville the second overall pick in 2025, along with picks 104 and 200 in that same draft. This year, Hunter is expected to play a defensive-heavy role, with the Jaguars believing he can make a quick and high-level impact at cornerback. Jacksonville also plans to utilize him on offense, although what his workload looks like at receiver this season could ebb and flow. Tuten and Chris Rodriguez will shoulder the workload out of the backfield this season, while Lane is a core special teams contributor and provides safety depth. For the Browns, Graham was second on the team in pressures last season, while Judkins rushed for over 800 yards.
Sampson was second on the team in rushing yards with 175 and was active in the passing game. Concepcion should take a big role in Year 1 with the Browns.
