Quality Power Electrical Equipments started FY27 on a stronger footing, with profit and revenue both recording healthy year-on-year growth in the June quarter, while operating margins also expanded. The company’s adjusted consolidated profit after tax rose 47% to ₹54.5 crore, from ₹37.1 crore a year ago. Revenue grew 32% to ₹256.4 crore, compared with ₹194.1 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. The improvement also came through at the operating level.

Adjusted EBITDA increased 50% to ₹72.5 crore, while the adjusted EBITDA margin widened to 28.3% from 25% a year earlier. The adjusted numbers exclude a ₹7.82 crore non-cash net monetary loss related to the application of Ind AS 29 to the company’s Turkish operations, with Turkey classified as a hyperinflationary economy under the accounting standard. On a reported basis, EBITDA stood at ₹64.7 crore, with a margin of 25.2%, while reported profit after tax was ₹46.7 crore, translating into a PAT margin of 18.2%. “We have started FY2027 on a positive note,” Chairman and Managing Director P T Pandyan said. He attributed the quarter’s performance to “continued execution momentum and sustained demand for high voltage and energy transition solutions.”

Order book, new projects in focus

The company entered the new financial year with a consolidated order book of ₹1,945.5 crore as of June 30, equivalent to around 1.9 times its FY26 consolidated revenue. During the quarter, Quality Power disclosed ₹104.9 crore worth of order wins, including high-voltage reactors for a data centre project in the US, a FACTS system and equipment order in Japan, and 400 kV instrument transformer orders from Hitachi Energy India. Meanwhile, work is progressing on the company’s manufacturing expansion in Sangli.

Machinery installation is underway and trial production is targeted for August, subject to regulatory clearances. Quality Power also declared an interim dividend of ₹0.25 per equity share for FY27. First Published:
