Luke Littler has been unstoppable in the world of darts in 2026 so far. In 2026, he’s won six majors (four ranked and two unranked) and has two Euro Tour event titles. The perfect year at majors is still on, but there are some events left that could pose bigger challenges than others when it comes to completing the perfect year on the major circuit. Grand Slam of Darts The Grand Slam is one of the top-5 biggest majors of the year, but it seems like one Littler won’t have too much trouble with. He’s won it each of the last two times he’s been in it, and as the format gets longer throughout the week, his chances of winning/completing a comeback seem to increase, especially in matches when he trails early on. The group stage’s short format is really what could be dangerous, but there’s some room for error, and Littler rarely drops multiple games in such a short span.

Players Championship Finals Littler has made the PCF the last two years, but he’s in danger of qualifying for the event as of now (9/18/26). I don’t see the PCF as a threat to ending his major streak, should he make it, but obviously that’s a different story if he doesn’t qualify. The opening rounds having a Euro Tour-like leg format could pose a threat.
However, the seeding at this event doesn’t really reflect the Main OoM, which leads to some high-quality early-round matchups sometimes. European Championship The European Championship and World Series of Darts Finals formats are very similar. The field is a little deeper at the European Championship, but once again, the short format early on makes Littler vulnerable. World Series of Darts Finals Since this is being written during the WSoD Finals, I know the bracket, which does influence putting the WSoD Finals high on the list when it comes to the event where I think Littler has the best chance of losing. He overcame Noppert in the first round, but there are some tricky ties he has going into the weekend that could jeopardize his active streak.

World Grand Prix Leg-format is what I looked at most with the events above, but the World Grand Prix’s double in-double out format creates a challenge unlike any event. It’s also played in a set format (like the World Championship and World Masters), with the opening rounds being pretty short (best-of-3/5 sets). Littler is still one of the best double hitters in the world, but as we’ve seen in past years, certain players thrive better in an event like this. Still expect a deep run from Littler, but there are other players in the mix that cause Littler to not be a runaway favorite, as he is in other events. If it wasn’t for a clutch 152 checkout in a WGP QF in 2025, Littler probably wouldn’t have a title to his name at the event.
