Palmeiras will exercise their €4.5m option to buy Milan defender Gustavo Gomez, his agent has confirmed.
Gomez has spent the past season on loan at Palmeiras, and his agent Renato Bitta revealed to Paraguayan radio that his client would be staying permanently.
“Palmeiras, with great joy, will buy Gomez,” Bitta is quoted as saying by palmeirasonline.com.
The Verdao are reigning champions in Brazil and the 26-year-old is part of statistically the best defence in the country, with only two goals conceded after nine games.
Gomez had been firmly on the periphery at Milan, despite them paying €8.5m to sign him in 2016.
