With September around the corner, the G League’s OKC Blue have dropped their 2026-27 regular season schedule. The NBA G League schedule will continue to be divided into two parts — a 14-game Tip-Off Tournament and then a 36-game regular season.
All 31 NBA G League teams will compete in at least 50 games. The Blue will play their season opener on Friday, Nov. 6.
They will host the Mexico City Capitanes. The Tip-Off Tournament will conclude with the G League Winter Showcase in Dec. 2026. Teams are placed into four regions to play 14 games against each other. The top winning percentage in each region — along with the next four teams with the best winning percentages — will advance to compete for the Championship at the Winter Showcase.
The eight teams will play at least two games there. Following the Tip-Off Tournament, team records will reset for the 36-game regular season. At the conclusion of the regular season, the top eight teams in each conference will qualify for the NBA G League Playoffs.
The NBA G League Finals will occur in Apr. 2027.
The Blue will play in four Field Trip Day games — three at OKC’s Paycom Center and one at Tulsa’s BOK Center. The entire 2026-27 regular season schedule can be viewed below. They will play games from Nov. 2026 to Mar. 2027:
Of course, the Oklahoma City Thunder fully utilize the Blue to their maximum extent. They share the same playbooks and home arenas — making assignments and recalls a seamless transition.
Some players who could spend time in the G League are Nikola Topic, Thomas Sorber, Aday Mara and Bennett Stirtz. Of course, OKC’s three two-way players in Brooks Barnhizer, Otega Oweh and Josh Dix will also spend notable time. The Blue coaching staff and roster will be announced at a later date. The G League training camp usually happens sometime in late October.
