SPAL have announced permanent deals for four players, including last season’s top goalscorer Andrea Petagna.
Petagna joined SPAL from Atalanta last summer on loan for €3m with a €12m obligation to buy if they avoided relegation.
The striker played a key role in that, scoring 16 Serie A goals for the Biancazzurri, and he has since been signed outright.
However, it remains to be seen whether the 24-year-old will be sold on for a profit, amidst reported interest from the likes of Leicester City, Atletico Madrid and Lazio.
The Ferrara side have also exercised purchase options for right-back Lorenzo Dickmann, wide man Mohamed Fares and midfielder Mattia Valoti.
