Names such as Selva Rubini, Selva Jasvi, Selva Karthik, Selvam, Selva, Selva Rani, Selva Raj, Selvamaniyan and Selvi are commonly found in the village. According to the villagers, this custom has been passed down through generations and continues to be an important part of their cultural and religious identity. They say the tradition reflects their enduring faith in Selliyamman and their commitment to preserving the practice for future generations.
