Milan are reportedly optimistic about signing Ozan Kabak, despite Bayern Munich also agreeing to pay his €15m release clause.

According to Tuttosport, Milan will hear back from Ozan on Monday over whether he has accepted their offer.

The newspaper adds there is ‘optimism’ on the Rossoneri’s part, but Bild has since warned that Bayern are prepared to match their bid.

Although the 18-year-old would compete with Mateo Musacchio and Mattia Caldara for a place alongside Alessio Romagnoli at San Siro, Bayern themselves have lost Mats Hummels and could be about to sell Jerome Boateng.

If the Stuttgart centre-back opts against a move to Milan, it is claimed they will go back in for Liverpool’s Dejan Lovren, who is valued in the region of €20m.
