Ipswich Town have completed the signing of midfielder Sasa Lukic from Fulham as their summer recruitment drive continues. Lukic has signed a four-year contract with Ipswich after spending three years at Craven Cottage, with the Tractor Boys reportedly paying £9m for his services.

Gary O’Neill’s team have been busy in the market as they aim to prepare for their return to the Premier League.

During his time at Fulham, Lukic made 109 appearances across all competitions, 74 of which were starts, registering three goals and four assists in that time.

Since his debut for the Cottagers in February 2023, Lukic ranks fifth in Fulham’s ranks for tackles won (100), and he is ready to give his all for Ipswich in 2026-27.

“I am proud to sign for this club,” Lukic told Ipswich’s official website. “I know there is a great history here and some brilliant supporters, so I can’t wait to get started. “I have played at Portman Road before in the Premier League and the atmosphere was one of the best I have experienced. I can’t wait to play here as a home player.

“I am a box-to-box player who gives my all every time I am on the pitch, and I’m excited to meet everyone and get started.”

Lukic strengthens Ipswich’s midfield options and is the second signing the Tractor Boys have made from Fulham, with Ipswich having also completed a deal for defender Issa Diop.

“Sasa is a player who brings real experience to the squad heading into the new season,” Ipswich boss O’Neil said of his new arrival.

“Having played nearly 100 games in the Premier League, he knows what it takes to compete in the division and has been a consistent performer throughout his time at Fulham. “We are delighted to have him with us and further strengthen an important area of the pitch.”

Ipswich’s pre-season preparations continue on Saturday when they face Rayo Vallecano before taking on Union Berlin on August 15.

They begin their Premier League campaign at home to Sunderland on August 22.
