Welcome to Love Island day 14, and what promises to be a dramatic episode. Tonight (please read that in Iain Stirling’s faux-dramatic voice), two Islanders are set to be dumped from the villa.

The four contestants in danger are Lucie, Joe, Anton and Elma, after the two couples were voted by their fellow Islanders as the least compatible. But they won’t be dumped in their pairs – only one from each couple will get the boot, meaning that Jucie and, er, Elmon(?) are both guaranteed to be split up. Woe.

Maura, meanwhile, is deciding who to direct her suggestive ice lolly manoeuvre towards next, after being rejected by Tommy.

We’ll tell you what’s true. You can form your own view.

What’s with this Evanescence-esque soundtrack?

Did Maura just say she feels “shy”? That’s unheard of…

This baby bird task is harder to watch than Anton trying to flirt

Maura eats “50 pizzas a week” and yet she doesn’t seem to have had a single one of her seven for today?

It may be tempting, during this ad break, to flick over to the Tory debate. I urge you to resist.

Has there ever been a longer awkward silence in the history of Love Island than the one(s) that just happened between Yewande and Danny?

“Disgustingly good at kissing,” says Molly-Mae of Tommy. Is that a compliment?

The results of the voting left Anton and Elma (unsurprising, given that Elma already has one foot out the door of that relationship), and Joe and Lucie (also understandable, given that Joe is a bit of a controlling twit) in danger. So now it’s up to the viewing public to weigh in and decide who’s going to walk the plank, or whatever it is they have to do when they’re booted off the island. We’ll find out who that is tonight.

But on the bright side, Michael wore some v nice glasses.

To make matters worse, one Islander from each incompatible couple will be dumped from the villa in tonight’s episode.

In the meantime, the remaining couples had to make a decision that was even tougher than choosing the new Tory leader – deciding on the two least compatible couples.

Last night, after the previous episode’s dramatic recoupling left Anna and Maura single (Maura’s totally not bothered about that by the way, she’s totally not even into Tommy anymore so whatever), the pair headed out on dates with two new arrivals – model Jordan, and, er, model Tom. They’re a varied bunch on this show.
