Well, the first half of the Ohio State football season is off and running, and for the most part, the Buckeyes look like a finely oiled machine. The running game has yet to establish itself, but other than that, it’s been all systems go. One of the areas we never doubted was the Julian Sayin-to-Jeremiah Smith connection. And the two have picked up right where they left off last season. So far, through one half of play, Sayin has thrown for 290 yards and three touchdowns.
His favorite target? None other than No. 4, who has hauled in eight receptions for 151 yards and two scores. Those are impressive numbers. So impressive, in fact, that Smith decided to strike a Heisman pose after an NFL-caliber catch, two-toe-touch in the back of the end zone to close out the first half.
