    SAN JUAN ALOTENANGO, Guatemala (Bioreports) — Hundreds of people were evacuated after Guatemala’s Fuego volcano erupted, sending ash, gas and lava down its slopes. Authorities remain on alert as the volcano, one of Central America’s most active, continues to pose a threat to nearby communities.
