At first, edge rusher Cam’Ron Stewart looked like he would stick around on the practice squad to continue developing. Minnesota then opted for a variety of moves, leading to the rookie being set free. The former Vikings pass rusher may not be out of work for too long.
Next up for Stewart is a chance with the Arizona Cardinals. And, quite possibly, things are turning around. Mike LaFleur (brother to Matt, the skipper of the Packers) is now the head coach down in the desert. Most notably, perhaps, he’s working alongside rookie running back Jeremiyah Love, who is a terrific talent.

Mr. Stewart is looking to prove capable of helping Arizona turn what has been years of arid football into a lush garden of pigskin competence. The Cardinals boast Josh Sweat and Baron Browning as the top pair of edge rushers. Not too bad.
What the Cardinals are looking to do is shore up the depth by investing in a young fella. Stewart is trying to prove that he’s that guy.

At 6’4″ and roughly 245 pounds, Cam’Ron Stewart is a touch small for the edge rusher position. What needs to be remembered, though, is that he ran a blistering 4.56 forty, largely boosting his impressive 8.16 RAS Score. His 2025 season involved a total of 32 tackles with 10.5 being tackles for loss. The pass rusher then had 5 sacks, 1 forced fumble, and 1 pass defended.

The Vikings’ top edge rushers are Andrew Van Ginkel alongside Dallas Turner.
Both were terrific in Week 1, but especially the third-year player. Next up at edge rusher are Kyle Van Noy, Bo Richter, and Chaz Chambliss. Other options to get some snaps along the edge are linebacker Eric Wilson, linebacker Jake Golday, and defensive lineman Ty Ingram-Dawkins.
If that proves insufficient, then maybe the former Vikings pass rusher will come back. That is, of course, as long as he doesn’t get scooped up by the Cardinals. Cam’Ron Stewart is 23.
