Florida State is gearing up for a huge matchup with one of the toughest opponents of the season and one of the favorites to win the ACC on Monday night, the SMU Mustangs. It will be an opportunity for them to impress some of their top recruiting targets. 2028 four-star quarterback Chandler Dyson is one of the most important prospects that will be in Tallahassee for this game. Currently, FSU is the top school in his recruitment, making this a very important trip. Dyson explained what he’s looking for on his visit.
“I’m just ready for the environment during the game and the outcome of the hard work the team put in during the offseason,” Dyson told Noles247. Dyson got a scholarship offer from FSU back on June 15, and then he visited on June 21 for a camp. He also took trips to see the LSU Tigers, Ole Miss Rebels, and South Carolina Gamecocks during the summer. However, Florida State did the best job with their approach.
“The biggest impression was Florida State,” Dyson said in July. “They acted like they loved me. The coaches were excited for me to be there and fired up the whole time. They really showed my parents they wanted me there, and they believe I could be a starter if I went there.”
Dyson is the No. 181 prospect in the country and the No.
12 quarterback per 247Sports composite. He’s also ranked as the state of Georgia’s No. 25 recruit. FSU needs to do a great job again on this visit and keep themselves as the pace setters in his recruitment.
