San Francisco 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey (non-injury) did not practice Wednesday, Sept. 16. Why it Matters: McCaffrey is no stranger to receiving the occasional practice off, and the 49ers also seem willing to ease his workload a bit during games.
He gained 88 yards on just 15 touches in the season opener, averaging 6.8 yards per rush. If the trend results in McCaffrey staying healthy for the entire season, the loss of some touches will pay off in the end.
