The Dallas Cowboys lost on Sunday night against the New York Giants, and unfortunately the ramifications of it are still being felt. Malik Hooker and DeMarvion Overshown both left the game as a result of different injuries, and on Monday head coach Brian Schottenheimer provided some clarity around them. According to Schotty, Malik Hooker is set to undergo surgery on Tuesday and is set to miss 1-2 weeks. Schotty also noted that DeMarvion Overshown is a candidate to miss 1-2 weeks with a hamstring injury. The next two weeks cover the trip to Brazil to “host” the Baltimore Ravens, so it stands to reason that neither player will be a part of that. Obviously anything is possible, though. No injury is ever good, but it appears that the Cowboys avoided anything major on this note which is great to see.
Hopefully Hooker and Overshown are feeling better sooner rather than later.
