Rocco Commisso has rubbished ‘fake news’ linking Fiorentina with a swoop for ex-Roma and Italy midfielder Daniele De Rossi.
Commisso is settling into his new role as Fiorentina owner after completing his takeover earlier in the month, and the Italo-American tycoon is ‘very excited’ about the future.
“I’m very excited,” he told Tuttomercatoweb.
“My whole family were welcomed with open arms. I hope that in these coming days, months and years, I can give something back to Florence.
“I can’t tell you anything about my meeting with management. The Fiorentina family are still being put together. Only time will tell.”
“I don’t know anything. He’s a very good lad, but there’s too much fake news in football.”
