Chicago Bears tight end Colston Loveland was held without a reception on two targets in Week 1 against the Carolina Panthers. Fellow tight end Cole Kmet re-surfaced two receptions for 35 yards and a pretty leaping touchdown catch over a defender. Huddle Up: Loveland was drafted as a TE1 in most fantasy leagues, so this was a stunning result. The Bears threw up 59 points, with a total of eight touchdowns, and he was unable to log even one catch.
Ouch. He’ll look to bounce back in Week 2 in the home opener against the Minnesota Vikings. Don’t give up hope, as Loveland will still be very productive.
