The Colorado Buffaloes open Big 12 play this week in Waco, Texas, against the Baylor Bears. Coming off an embarrassing loss to Northwestern, Colorado is hoping to flip the script and start Big 12 play with a win. The Buffs, however, are dealing with several injuries, including a few to key players.
Colorado released its initial injury report Wednesday evening, with four players already declared out and four others listed as doubtful. Baylor’s injury report is fairly full as well, but most importantly for the Bears, star quarterback DJ Lagway looks on track to play in Saturday’s game. The concerns are with the running back room, with both Damian Henderson and JaQuail Smith on the initial report. If both were to miss, CU’s running back depth would be tested, with Micah Welch, DeKalon Taylor and Richard Young needing to lead the way.
