The Chicago Bears are expected to waive undrafted free agent offensive lineman Caden Barnett, according to Chicago Tribune’s Brad Biggs. Barnett, known as the “Vanilla Gorilla,” was one of the most sought-after undrafted rookies following the draft.
Not only does he bring a nastiness to the offensive trenches, he also brings versatility to the table, having played both right tackle and right guard during his time at Wyoming. Barnett worked exclusively at right guard with Chicago this summer, and he was contending with fellow guards Jordan McFadden and Luke Newman, who are both expected to earn a roster spot.
