Toby Alderweireld’s move to Roma could be back on as Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly beaten Arsenal to Saint-Etienne defender William Saliba.
However, reports in France claim Spurs have trumped Arsenal to Saliba, offering €30m plus bonuses for the 18-year-old, and that a deal could be finalised as early as tomorrow.
Calciomercato.com, meanwhile, writes the Belgian has already agreed a four-year contract with the Giallorossi, worth €3m a season plus bonuses.
Franco Baldini is understood to be meeting Spurs officials today over the possible signing of the 30-year-old.
Baldini was previously employed as technical director of the Champions League finalists between 2013 and 2015.
The website adds Nicolo Zaniolo – a long-time Tottenham target – could be part of negotiations, going as far as stating the Londoners are ready to offer €40m plus Alderweireld for the midfielder.
