Nigerian female football star Asisat Oshoala who currently plays for Barcelona has been nominated for the UEFA fans’ women’s team for the year 2020.

The 26-year-old striker made the list because of her impressive performances for Barcelona Female team so far this year and also the Super Falcons of Nigeria.

Although last season was affected by the disturbance of COVID-19, but Asisat Oshoala was still able to impress for her team in Spain.

Out of the 50 women listed for the award on Tuesday, December 1, Asisat Oshoala is the only Nigerian female footballer who made the list.

This is an incredible record for the former River Angels’ striker who has also played for Arsenal and Liverpool Ladies in England.

According to the report, UEFA explained that the list was carefully made as all the nominees were proposed by the editorial team.
