Nigerian nightmare Kamaru Usman had to put a press conference on hold to speak with his parents on the phone shortly after successfully defending his title in UFC258.
Usman retained his UFC welterweight title having defeated Brazilian fighter Gilbert Burns in the wee hours of Sunday, February 14.
But it took the Nigerian nightmare a sensational comeback after Burns began the first round on a front foot.
The Brazilian charged across, took the center immediately and he got Usman backed up to the fence very early.
Burns who started the fight brightly only lasted three rounds after Usman dropped him with a power jab again like he did in the second.
The Nigerian nightmare then followed him down and he rained big shots! Burns was moving on the floor but was compromised.

More shots from Usman and Burns was in a world of trouble before referee Herb Dean jumped in to save him.
Attending a press conference shortly after, Usman’s parents had called in, before the Nigerian star picked up the call, thereby putting the live conference on hold.
The delighted parents congratulated the star as the father and mom expressed their love for him saying “we are your number one fans in the whole world.”
Meanwhile, British-Nigerian boxer Anthony Joshua has stylishly warned Tyson Fury ahead of their much publicised heavyweight mega-fight slated for later this year.
Boxing fans across the globe are expecting a date for the tantalising clash to be fixed, but politics within the sport has threatened to prevent the bout.
The pair are billed to earn a minimum of £100million each in the first clash of a two-bout deal and now both camps are pushing for the fight to materialise.
However, Bioreports earlier reported that Anthony Joshua may be knocking out opponents as the heavyweight but the British-born Nigerian boxer surely has a soft spot for women.
The 31-year-old who is a close friend to his mother revealed that any man who maltreats a woman will never experience peace in their lives.
The IBF, IBO, WBA and WBO heavyweight made a post on his Instagram handle backing women for their relentless efforts in keeping the family.
