UEFA has postponed the European Championship until the summer of 2021, and the tournament will be carried out between June 11 and July 11.
The announcement arrives after the Coronavirus outbreak affecting Europe and its respective Leagues. The decision was inevitable, as almost every game has been postponed because of the rapid spread of COVID-19 during the last month.
The Norwegian FA (NFF) confirmed that UEFA has decided to postpone the scheduled European Championship until 2021.
The confirmation arrives ahead of a scheduled meeting between UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin and the Executive Committee at 13:00 GMT.
The decision will involve a re-arrangement for the new FIFA Club World Cup scheduled for next summer.
On Monday night, the Danish newspaper BT revealed that UEFA had cancelled their hotel bookings in Copenhagen.
The newspaper writes that the association had already booked 80 per cent of the hotel capacity in the city, but have now cancelled them.
