He suffered minor cuts and abrasions, consistent with him having fallen.’Detective Sergeant Paul Cook, from West Midlands Police CID, added: ‘I understand the concerns of the community and would like to offer reassurance that we’re doing all we can to establish what happened yesterday and find those responsible.’If you saw what happened, or have any information about the incident please get in touch.’A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson added: ‘We were called at 6.37pm to reports of a man who has been assaulted by a number of others; they had left scene.’We sent an ambulance, two paramedic officers and the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car.
