Two teenagers aged eight and 10 who were reportedly defiled by a 50-year-old man identified as Abdulahi Kamarudeen have been hospitalized.
Kamarudeen was caught in the act last Sunday while raping one of the teenagers in an uncompleted building at Adelabu Street in Akure.
His semen was found in the pant of his victim.
It was men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC) that prevented Kamarudeen from being lynched.
Ondo State Commandant of the NSCDC, Eweka Edenabu, who briefed journalists on the development, said investigation revealed that the suspect sexually harassed the eight years victim some weeks earlier.

Eweka said the two victims were taken to the Federal Medical Center Annex in Akure for the necessary medical examination and results indicated that there was attempted penetration through the anus of the victims.
He said the NSCDC Antihuman Trafficking and Irregular Migration Unit would liaise with the Ministry of Women Affairs for safe custody and protection of the victims.
According to him, “We gathered that Audulahi Kamarudeen used to come for relaxation in same compound where the children live. The 10 years old girl however, lamented how the suspect covered her mouth and nose while penetrating her from behind.
“Presently, Investigation is ongoing, the confessional statement of the suspect revealed that the girls were familiar to him.
“At the completion of our investigation the suspect will be charged to court for justice to take its course.”
