Two more games for Ancelotti?

Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti reportedly has two more games against Milan and Liverpool to save himself from the sack.

Ancelotti finds himself under pressure for the first time during his Napoli reign after no wins in five games, while he publicly disagreed with Aurelio De Laurentiis’ decision to send the team on a training retreat.

Now, Sport Mediaset claims De Laurentiis has given the coach the next two matches to keep his job.

The Partenopei have fallen to seventh in Serie A, five points adrift of the Champions League places, while qualification for last 16 of Europe’s elite club competition is worth €20m.

Sky Sport Italia, meanwhile, states the 60-year-old is thinking about a switch to a 4-3-3 formation, which served predecessor Maurizio Sarri so well.

The broadcaster also expects him to be in charge until at least the Racing Genk game on December 10.

If results do not improve, one candidate already being put forward is Gennaro Gattuso.

Gattuso, who played under Ancelotti at Milan, remains available after rejecting several roles since he left the Rossoneri at the end of last season.

The former Italy midfielder would also guarantee a return to 4-3-3, although sacking Carletto and his staff would cost the Partenopei around €7m.
