Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions aired its 2019 final on Saturday night, with it announced who had won the first series of the show.

Twist and Pulse, real names Ashley Glazebrook and Glen Murphy, were announced as the winners by hosts Ant and Dec, voted by the super fans in the audience.

They won the trophy after beating runner-ups Stavros Flatley and third place act Kseniya Simonova.

Other acts including magician Darcy Oake, singing duo Bars and Melody and dangerous father and daughter stunt performers Bello and Annaliese Nock also missed out.

Twist and Pulse left the crowds cheering with their finale routine, nine years on from their first stint on the show.

They came runner-up in series 4 against acrobatics group Spelbound, but this time around they did one better.

As it came to confirming the winner, one-by-one Ant and Dec eliminated the act with the fewest votes until just three remained. Ant and Dec then confirmed Twist and Pulse were the winners after eliminating Kseniya and Stavros Flatley.

The boys pulled off another big performance

Twist and Pulse couldn’t believe their win

On hearing they had won the show, the boys looked visibly shocked as Stavros Flatley’s father and son Demetrios and Michalakis hugged it out with them.

Ant and Dec then asked them about their win, with Ant heard shouting: “You did it, you did it!”

Judges Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden shared their joy over the news, while the boys couldn’t believe they’d done it.

Viewers raced to Twitter to congratulate the duo after their win, with many happy with the results.
