Kepa Arrizabalaga is ready to revive his international career and will reportedly accept a pay-cut to leave Chelsea in January, reports claim.

The 27-year-old made a £71.6millionmove from Athletic Bilbao to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2018 but has been relegated to third-choice under Frank Lampard.

He has also dropped in the pecking order of Luis Enrique’s side in the Spanish national team, he is now behind Man United’s David de Gea and Bilbao’s Unia Simon.

Kepa has not tasted action for the Blues since October 17 and the arrival of Eduoard Mendy has seen the team lose just one match in as many games.

The Spanish goalkeeper is now looking elsewhere to bring his career right on track during the January transfer window.

And it is understood he will accept a massive reduction in £150,000-a-week wages to secure first-team football with another club.

Enrique has told the shot-stopper that he will not be given a chance in his team if he continues to sit on the bench at Chelsea.

The Spaniard is looking to be in between the sticks in his former home ground when Spain take on Slovakia in a World Cup qualifier in June 2021.

Kepa did not make any appearances for Spain during the international break as De Gea and Simon were shuffled for their games against Switzerland and Germany.

Reports claim that the goalkeeper was given assurances during the summer by Chelsea’s director of football Petr Cech that he still has a future at the West London club.

But the arrival of Senegalese international Mendy has seen the first-choice keeper dropped in further at Lampard’s squad.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Cesc Fabregas has revealed that he still considers Jose Mourinho as a friend but does not have anything to do with his childhood hero Pep Guardiola.

The Spanish legend who spent ten seasons with Arsenal after leaving Barcelona made comparisons between two of the best managers in the world.

Fabregas played under Mourinho during his second spell with Chelsea and played two seasons under Guardiola during his return to the Camp Nou.
