Trevor Noah has taken to social media to “brag” about his friend and colleague David Paul Meyer for getting his first Emmy Awards nomination.
The comedian penned a heartfelt post to David, who convinced him to come to America. He did not only just urge him to tour the US but let him sleep at his house.
At the time Trevor arrived in America, he had never eaten the famous traditional Mexican dish, tacos. David did not only provide shelter for Trevor but also gave him his first dish of tacos.
“Just taking a quick moment to brag about a friend. The friend that convinced me to come tour America, let me sleep on his couch, and forced me to try tacos.”
David also directed the star’s stand-up specials in the country and also joined him at The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. Legit.ng reported that the show received six nominations, including David’s, at this year’s Emmy Awards. Trevor congratulated David on his nomination.
“This friend not only directed my stand-up specials but came along to work with @thedailyshow. Now, this same friend received his first Emmy nomination for “Outstanding Directing for a Variety Series”. The @TelevisionAcad couldn’t have acknowledged a better person! Congrats buddy!”

In other news, Legit.ng reported that Trevor Noah has begged for someone to take Kanye West’s social media away after his latest Twitter meltdown. Kanye threw his wife, Kim Kardashian, under the bus. He also had some choice words for his mother-in-law, Kris Jenner, Anna Wintour, and Drake.
Trevor believes it’s time somebody reeled Kanye in and prevents him from spilling his guts to the world. The comedian did note that Kanye is a grown man who should take responsibility for his actions also.
