Far-right extremist Tommy Robinson is facing a ban from all England matches, at home and abroad.

The thug, real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, was filmed punching a Three Lions fan to the ground in Portugal during the Nations League finals.

The footage is now likely to be used in the bid to secure a banning order, barring him from all England games abroad and all UK football grounds.

The incident in the city of Guimaraes came before England’s 3-1 defeat to the Netherlands in the semi-final on June 7.

Robinson, a former English Defence League leader and convicted football hooligan, was seen approaching the fan, who told him: “You do not represent me.”

Tommy Robinson was filmed punching another England fan in the summer

The 36-year-old walked away after the incident as a voice was heard telling the fan: “Try that again and you will get knocked out again, bruv.”

A witness said: “Robinson throws a punch. This is from a man who was trying to become an MEP. This shows what he is really about.”

Robinson, who claimed the fan had been “rowdy, abusive” toward him, had posted a message shortly before the game saying: “No football banning order here, mate.”

The remark was believed to refer to a banning order Bedfordshire Police applied for over a flag reading “F*** ISIS” at Euro 2016.

They said he was inciting hatred against Muslims – but he successfully challenged it.

Now the same force, working with the UK Football Policing Unit, is bidding to get him banned from “all regulated football matches, home and abroad”.

A spokesman said they have “served papers” and the next hearing is at Luton magistrates court on October 18.

Robinson was convicted of hooliganism in 2011 for leading 100 Luton Town fans in a clash with Newport County fans.
