A Nigerian lady with the Twitter handle @hannah_ajala has taken to the social media platform to celebrate after riding train in the country for the first time.
@hannah_ajala, who shared adorable photos of herself and the train on her page, said the ride from Lagos to Ibadan was so exciting.
She simply wrote:
“First train ride in Nigeria!! This is so exciting.”
Speaking about the train on her blog, the young lady said it was calm, very chilled and clean.
In her words:
“It’s quite clean, spacious, and has very clean toilets on board too. I was also really impressed with the plug sockets and USB ports for use also. I felt really relaxed throughout and even had a cheeky nap.”
Nigerians soon flooded the comment section of her Twitter post to share their thoughts on it.

“Guess they’re paying y’all for this train trip wey u dey always fantasize as if it’s something to be proud of. You’re cruising on a government train that cost #3000 from Lagos to ibadan while regular danfo & bus is just N1,500 and 2k at max. So tell me how is this a solution.”
@hannatu_ijioma commented:
“I read a review of someone who says she took a train ride and the thing stopped in the middle of forest. Since then, I can’t even read about doing a train trip in Nigeria and not panic. How did it go.”
@adigwu_john said:
“This experience is getting some people angry. They don’t want to see anything good in Nigeria.”
