Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen is certain his late parents are proud of him after completing his move from Lille to Serie A giants Napoli in a deal valued around $96 million.

The 21-year-old who is an orphan lost his mother at a young age before losing his father back in May.

But according to the young striker, his mother and father would be proud of him after becoming Africa’s most expensive player.

Osimhen became the most expensive African player of all time after completing the move to his new club.

And minutes after Napoli confirmed the deal, Osimhen took to his Twitter page to post a touching message.

He tweeted: “Mom and dad are proud for sure.”

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Victor Osimhen has officially joined Serie A side Napoli from Lille as the club have finally unveiled the youngster after weeks of trying to seal the deal.

The two clubs, Lille and Napoli, signed the final relevant documents on Friday, July 24 with Osimhen having already passed a medical with the Serie A club in Rome a week earlier.

The forward, who had spent just 12 months with Les Dogues, joins on a 5-year contract, with the option to extend that deal by a further sixth year.

Osimhen attracted the attention of top European managers last campaign including that of Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho after scoring 18 goals and six assists in his debut season in France.

His performances saw him win Les Dogues’ best player of the season and also beat others to clinch Prix Marc-Vivien Foe award for outstanding African players in the French League.

According to Victor Osimhen, he is delighted to open the next chapter of his career.
